of an orphanage for children abandoned because of the war. What a sad
picture!
Nightmare vision,
amputated children, the wounded, those traumatized!
Broken up, destroyed families refugees by the thousand, erring along the
roads.
The religious Priests and Nuns provided food to thousands of refugees
every day, nursing, consoling, helping for baby deliveries, burying the
dead, giving shelter to those starving to death who happened to walk by
their camp.
So many parting memories remained after such an experience, so great was
misery there.
How much God and his admirable Mother made us feel their support in such
ordeals.
