GREAT ANNUAL CONVENTION OF ROTARY INTERNATIONAL IN CHICAGO,
FOR THE 100TH BIRTHDAY OF THE FOUNDATION OF ROTARY
BY PAUL HARRIS IN 1905

Fraternite Notre Dame was able to participate actively in the various workshops offered and much sharing occurred there, while each spoke of his humanitarian activities, and planned for more, even more beautiful and greater, thanks to this Rotarian friendship.

Rotary Club # 1 of Chicago requested Most Reverend Bishop Jean Marie, during this time of the Convention, to say the prayer opening the meeting on Monday June 20, 2005, in front of a very large audience that convened together many members from various countries.

The meeting was held in good humor, and true friendship really bonded people together; Most Reverend Bishop requested God to bless all the members present and grant them many graces on this 100th birthday.

He was very happy to share the table of honor with Richard King, Past President of Rotary International for 2001-2002, his spouse Cherie, and the current president of Club # 1.

Mr. Richard King was speaker of the day, very appreciated by all for his fervor, his dynamism and his concern for others. May God bless Rotarians and their families!

The Convention was an extraordinary success, with over 36,000 in attendance, when Rotarian members were able to meet with one another and share, in friendship and beyond their differences.
